Sketcching sonic interactions

This chapter provides an overview of methods and practices for sketching sound in interactive contexts. The chapter stresses the role and importance of producing and interacting with provisional sound representations in conceptual sound design. The cognitive benefits of embodied sound sketching are discussed and outlined by means of practical examples and basic exercises. In particular, vocalizations and gestures are proposed as primary cognitive artifacts available to sound designers to enact sonic impressions and displays, cooperatively.

Due time, visual culture changes and thus affects the design of pictorial representations in technological products, such as icons in user interfaces. Previous research of temporal aspects in human-computer interaction has been focusing on particular interaction situations, but not on the effects of design eras on user experience. Immersive Virtual Reality Education Application : Four Development Iterations along Design Science Research Methodology

This study introduces a research and development process of an immersive Virtual Reality (VR) education application. Altogether four application development iterations are showcased along the Design Science Research methodology. The results show how initial problems change and new problems occur during the course of a long-term DSR project with multiple iterations. Moreover, the study results confirm various previous findings, for example, that VR works better on higher learning levels such as application -level and personalization is a way to achieve this. Le trincee drenanti profonde rappresentano uno dei metodi più efficaci per la mitigazione del rischio da frana, in pendii con falda idrica. Esse sono realizzate mediante pannelli o pali secanti. Il riempimento è costituito di calcestruzzo poroso o materiale granulare. Se le trincee sono adeguatamente “innestate” nel terreno stabile e il materiale di riempimento ha sufficiente resistenza e rigidezza come il calcestruzzo poroso, si ha ulteriore in-cremento di resistenza a taglio per effetto shear keys, oltre a quello derivante dalla riduzione delle pressioni in-terstiziali.
